Xan
Xan Padrón (Galicia, Spain 1969) is a musician, composer and photographer. He received his first camera at the age of 12 from his Godfather, who was a renowned photo-journalist. In 1983 he first established his darkroom. Although his career is focused in Spanish music and culture his passion as a photographer is devoted to the life of the others.
His portraits of artists have been published worldwide in newspapers (El Mundo, La Voz de Galicia, El Correo Gallego, Faro de Vigo, Xornal, El Progreso, Madrid), magazines (La Buena Vida, Fugas, Culturas, Auria), concert programs (Metropolitan Museum, Chicago Symphony Hall), posters (Mostly Mozart Festival 2007) and cd covers.
Xan Padrón’s last exhibition was in Barcelona (October 2008-March 2009) at Café de la Princesa Gallery with the project Visions of New York.
